As part of a piece about Apple launching Safari for PCs, the Telegraph’s inhouse expert gave ONE example of an extension that makes Firefox the favorite browser for many. Guess which one? Clipmarks! Thanks Rick!
As for which browser is best, our inhouse expert, Rick Maybury, says: “There’s no such thing as the perfect browser, nor is there ever likely to be. You don’t have to use only one. Should you be so inclined, you could install all of them and run them at the same time.”
Maybury, like a growing number of users, favours Firefox (getfirefox.com). This free software offers tabbed browsing (where you can open multiple web pages in the same browser window and flick between them), RSS feeds (which stream news and updates from your favourite sites), and a host of extensions that improve surfing, such as Clipmarks, which allows you to bookmark only the most interesting parts of a web page, rather than the whole thing.
